Elvie is a fine jewelry line designed and created in New York City by Christine Bartolillo. The name honors her great-grandmother, a skilled garment maker whose diamond wedding band and nameplate bracelet first sparked Christine’s love affair with jewelry.

Coming from a line of natural-born makers, Christine followed in her grandmother’s footsteps in her first career as a hair stylist, before ultimately paralleling her grandfather’s path, who forged and welded metal as a sculptor.

Christine draws most of her inspiration from the distinct forms and settings of vintage jewelry, with a particular affinity for antique diamonds and richly colored gemstones. Her work balances delicate, feminine elements with bold, more masculine details, resulting in pieces that feel substantial yet elegant.

Christine studied at the Gemological Institute of America, with certifications in both diamonds and colored stones. She designs every piece in her studio, either by hand-carving wax models or working in CAD. With formal training in metalsmithing and stone setting, her hands-on experience informs each design. She works closely with a master stone setter and other industry artists, all on 47th Street in New York City’s famed Diamond District.
