Specialty Diamond Sourcing

Our sourcing spans genuine antique diamonds, vintage and post-consumer stones, and later-cut diamonds with distinctive faceting, proportions, color, or shape. Some clients come to us knowing exactly what they want, while others simply know they’re looking for something outside the standard diamond market.

Our sourcing service is available whether you’re looking to purchase a loose diamond or work with us on the finished piece.

Much of the natural diamond market never makes it online. Through relationships with trusted dealers, cutters, and specialists throughout New York’s Diamond District and beyond, we’re able to search stones that may never be photographed, publicly listed, or available through traditional retail channels.

We inspect diamonds individually and look beyond the grading report, considering faceting, proportions, outline, color, condition, and how the stone actually looks and performs in person.

Every search begins with a detailed brief. We’ll establish the characteristics that matter most to you, your budget, and where there’s room for flexibility before we begin looking.

One-of-a-kind natural diamonds don’t fit neatly into a pricing formula. Two stones with similar carat weights and grades can differ significantly in price based on cut, proportions, rarity, age, color, and overall desirability. If a particular combination of characteristics is unlikely at your price point, we’ll tell you upfront and help determine where there’s room to adjust without losing what you’re most drawn to.

We then search the current market and present the strongest options we find. Depending on your criteria, that may mean several diamonds or a single exceptional candidate.

A sourcing deposit is required to begin and is credited in full toward your diamond purchase.

Diamond budget under $10,000: $750
Most clients in this range will be looking at stones around 1.25 ct or below.

Diamond budget $10,000–$25,000: $1,000
Depending on the stone, budgets in this range may allow for approximately 1.50–2.50 ct.

Diamond budget $25,000+: $1,500
Budgets typically need to exceed $20,000 to begin sourcing stones around 3.00 ct and above.

Your sourcing deposit includes one curated presentation followed by one refinement of the search if needed. If you complete both without purchasing a stone and would like to begin again at a later date, that is considered a new sourcing project.

If you decide not to purchase a stone after we’ve completed the sourcing process, the deposit is retained as a sourcing fee for the work performed.

The sourcing deposit begins your search but does not secure a diamond. One-of-a-kind stones can move quickly, so payment is required to secure your chosen stone once you’re ready to move forward.

Because each search is conducted specifically on your behalf, we only take on sourcing projects for clients who are prepared to purchase if we find the right diamond.

Once you choose your diamond, you can purchase it loose or continue with us to design the finished piece.
